Golden Cañedo's newest single is written by Ebe Dancel, Jim Paredes, Yumi Lacsamana and Herbert Hernandez
Golden Cañedo has a new single out. It's called "Walang Hanggang Sandali" and it's written by some of the best Filipino songwriters we have.
In a press interview with the first-ever "The Clash" champion, Golden said "Walang Hanggang Sandali" was composed by Ebe Dancel, Jim Paredes, Yumi Lacsamana, and Herbert Hernandez.
"Sinabi po ng GMA Music sa 'kin about sa composers and sobrang na-shock ako kasi hindi ko inaakala na ipagkakatiwala nila yung song po sa akin," she said.
Ebe Dancel, as we all know, is a singer/songwriter best known for his work with Sugarfree. Jim Paredes meanwhile belongs to the Apo Hiking Society.
Yumi Lacsamana is a rising star in OPM, who has penned quite a number of hits for a number of singers. A singer herself, Yumi is one-half the duo of Thyro & Yumi, who released the Philpop winning song "Triangulo."
Herbert Hernandez meanwhile is the guitarist and composer for Moonstar88 and 6cyclemind.
Golden shared that they were already planning to record the song last February but the quarantine happened.
Sometime amid lockdown, she finally got around to recording.
"Pumunta po talaga ako ng GMA, kasi kailangan ko po talaga mag-record. Hindi po siya puwede sa bahay, kailangan po talaga meron po talagang proper na equipment para sa recording, so pumunta po ako dun kasama ko po yung mom ko," she narrated.
There were only four of them inside the recording studio, Golden said, and that she had to wear a mask while recording.
"Nagre-record po kami habang ako naka-mask...Tinatanggal ko lang po kapag bibirit," she said.
The Kapuso singer said her new song is a love song about chance encounters.
"Nag-lalahad po siya kung ano po nangyari nung time na 'yun na nakita niya, it's like love at first sight din yung nangyari sa song," she said.
Golden said she somehow relates to her new single, especially because it's similar tohow she met her current boyfriend Martin Raval, who is based in the United states.
They couple celebrated their first anniversary while on a LDR status. — LA, GMA News
