Vlogger Baninay Bautista tests positive for COVID-19

Former reality show star turned vlogger Baninay Bautista has tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Sharing the news on her YouTube channel on Tuesday, Baninay said she received the results on Monday evening.

She said, however, that she does not feel any symptoms for the disease.

"'Yun na lang talaga pinagpapasalamat ko kasi kahit ubo, sipon, lagnat, wala diarrhea wala rin," she said. "May konting plema lang ako and sore throat siguro though hindi talaga siya sobrang sakit."

"Parang minsan lang kapag madami akong nasasabi, kapag salita ako ng salita minsan sumasakit na rin lalamunan ko kasi ang lakas ng boses ko," she added.

Baninay said she is doing their best not to infect others, including self-isolating at home. She also said the health center conducted contact tracing of her close contacts for the past two weeks.

In the video, she showed how she seems normal but reminded her subscribers to stay at home.

"Katulad ko mukha akong healthy pero carrier po ako," she said.

Baninay said she's doing everything she can to keep herself healthy including drinking vitamins, eating healthy food, and drinking lemon ginger tea.

At the latter part of the video, Baninay cried as she updated her followers that she is now required to stay in a quarantine facility, her biggest fear after learning that she contracted COVID-19. —Jannielyn Bigtas/MGP, GMA News
