John Regala currently confined in a hospital, is yet to undergo more medical tests

Former action star John Regala is currently confined in the hospital and is still expected to go under medical tests.

On his personal Facebook account Monday, former That's Entertainment mainstay Chuckie Dreyfrus posted an update about Regala, saying a doctor visited the ex-action star because "he was complaining of excruciating pain." 

According to Dreyfrus, Regala's recent blood chem results came out showing that his creatinin levels and liver functions are very bad.

"The swelling of his feet is also caused by his liver's lack of function. He was brought to the hospital and is currently in confinement," Dreyfus added.

Regala is still scheduled for more laboratory tests, including an ultrasound and COVID-19 rapid test to ensure his safety. 

"Currently, John is being monitored closely and being given the necessary medical care he desperately needs," Dreyfus said.

Thanking those who have reached out, sent prayers and donated to help Regala get better, Dreyfus asked for everyone to "continue to pray for John because he still has a long way to go."

They have opened up a crowdfunding page to cover Regala's " badly needed medical support and proper healthcare."

"If you would like to donate and assist in his financial burden, any donation through this crowdfunding campaign would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much."

A week ago, a photo of Regala went viral, where he was seen looking sick and weak, waiting for medical assistance in Pasay City.
