As Dingdong Dantes turns 40, the actor pens a reflective note of gratitude
Dingdong Dantes is 40 today, and on Instagram the Kapuso actor admitted his birthday didn't turn out as he had imagined or planned.
Posting a series of photos — with his mom, of his wife with each their child — Dingdong said, "Events may have not turned out the way I envisioned them to be, I’m still grateful because this day is a reminder of His blessings and my life’s greatest gifts."
And then he turned reflective, honoring first his mother, and then honoring his wife Marian Rivera, and finally honoring God.
"Today, I honor my mother who brought me into this world. I had to have my own children to make me realize the sacrifices that our mothers do for us," Dingdong began.
He said every birthday greeting he gets, he celebrates his mother's strength.
"Today, I also honor my wife who has been my rock and core. Building a family of my own and reaching milestones have been a blissful and contented journey because I have her as my partner in and for life," he continued.
According to Dingdong, he lauds Marian every time he receives a birthday greeting.
"And of course, today, I honor our Creator, who has made all things possible and surmountable for me all throughout these years," he wrote.
Thanking everybody he's greeted him, Dingdong requested for people to pop open a bottle for him, "and distantly, I’d like to thank you for being part of my ongoing life’s journey."
In a separate post, Dingdong shared a sweet family photo, presumably of his intimate birthday party. — LA, GMA News
