Chynna Ortaleza opens up about overcoming past struggles to accept herself as she is

Chynna Ortaleza has opened up about how she has overcome past struggles to accept herself for who she is.

On Instagram, Chynna shared a screenshot of a video of herself from an interview with GMA News Online in 2018, where she talked about the insecurities she had to battle when she was younger.

“Recent stories of shaming have been prevalent against humans by fellow humans. Attacks on physicality, intelligence, speech and different states of being have surfaced,” the actress wrote.

“These circumstances should not be viewed in the negative but an opportunity to shed some truths,” she said.

The Kapuso actress said it took her years to get through the shaming comments thrown against her.

“It took me years of rebuilding a once damaged ego to gain courage to show people my vulnerabilities,” Chynna said.

“To accept that I am human and I will never be perfect,” she added.

The actress said she “really started feeling alive” when she learned to accept truths about herself.

“The social platform I am sure was not designed to be dishonest. It encouraged the user to share what they see. It was made to encourage and empower people to appreciate life’s beauty and grit in all forms,” she wrote.

Chynna made a list of questions for her followers who might be struggling with the same issues she went through.

Who are you?
Your concept of positives were instilled by who or what?
Your concept of negatives were instilled by who or what?
How is your relationship with these energies?
Do you allow yourself to listen to yourself?
Are you happy with your current state of being?

“If you are moved to share please do so. In any way you are comfortable. It can be through your journal through various art forms or through a post. Even a DM. I am always moved to understand further,” she continued.

“There is beauty in your story. Do not be scared to affirm this every day,” she added.

The Kapuso celebrity also tagged her interview with GMA News Online as her “most honest interview.”

“I shared what I had to go through as a newbie actor in a cookie cutter industry,” she wrote. – Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/RC, GMA News
