Catriona Gray and Sam Milby have been in a relationship even before Sam's May revelation

Catriona Gray on Tuesday morning admitted that she and actor Sam Milby were already in a relationship, even before Sam broke the news on Instagram last May.

GMA News reporter Bernadette Reyes, who covered the DTI's launch of One Town One Product campaign, of which the Miss Universe 2018 is the ambassadress, tweeted Catriona's confirmation.

The Miss Universe 2018 also expressed her gratitude for Sam's support. "He's been a steady support throughout really everything that I do and even in getting involved in my case work. I'm very appreciate of that," Cat said.

Over the weekend, Catriona and Sam were in the headlines.

Catriona first surprised everybody when she shared a new version of "We're in this Together" that featured Sam Milby.

Sam meanwhile released a statement of support for Catriona on Sunday, following Cat's lawyer warning the public of a fake topless photo of Cat circulating online.

"I cannot simply stand by and allow other people to take control of a narrative that is not theirs to tell," Sam said.

"I will always be here for her and will do everything in my power to protect her," he added.

Sam announced he and Catriona were dating on his birthday in an Instagram post last May, saying she was "worth every second of the wait. Most special birthday yet." — LA, GMA News
