Barbie Forteza warns online sellers about scammer using her name

Barbie Forteza has warned the public about a scammer using her name to get products from online sellers.

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," the Kapuso actress posted a screenshot of a message from a scammer posing as her road manager.

The person offered an ex-deal to an online seller, claiming that Barbie will promote their business on Instagram stories. The seller agreed to send some products.

"'Yung effort nung tao na gumawa para sa 'yo tas hindi ko natanggap so sobrang nahiya ako talaga," Barbie said.

The "Anak ni Waray vs Anak ni Biday" star said she does know whether she should feel anger towards the scammer for taking advantage of others amid the pandemic.

Barbie said, however, she posted the screenshot so that the scammer would know that she is aware of what is going on.

"Also para to raise awareness sa ibang IG sellers, sa ibang nagsisimula ng small business sa social media na gustong magpadala sa mga artista," she said. —MGP, GMA News
