Andrea Torres opens food business amid lockdown

With online food businesses booming amid the lockdown, even celebrities could not help but join the entrepreneurial spirit and set up their own ventures.

Andrea Torres is one them. Together with her family, they opened their kitchen and made their specialties available to fellow foodies.

In Lhar Santiago's report for "24 Oras," the Kapuso star said the business has given her and her family something to occupy themselves with amid the pandemic.

"Every day meron talaga kaming pinagkakaabahalan," she said. "Talagang paggising mo palang hanggang sa pagtulog mo, ang dami mong iniintindi."

Andrea said all her family members have different tasks in running the kitchen. Her dad was the taste-tester, but they also enlisted to help of her boyfriend Derek Ramsay.

"Two weeks before po kami nag-launch lahat 'yan natikman ni Derek saka ng pamilya niya. Talagang humingi kami sa kanila ng feedback," she said.

Family Favorites, the Torres family kitchen, currently accepts orders for cheese pimiento, stuffed mushrooms, bread pudding with vanilla sauce, classic and oreo polvoron, and other dishes.

Of course, each of them received the seal of approval from Derek himself.

"Lahat ng sinserve namin ngayon binigyan niya ng thumbs-up," Andrea said. —MGP, GMA News
