Christopher de Leon's mother, veteran actress Lilia Dizon, passes away
Veteran actress Lilia Dizon passed away on Monday morning. She was 92 years old.
Her daughter Toni Abad confirmed the unfortunate news on her Facebook page on Monday morning.
"The angels are rejoicing! Mom is now worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ not by faith, but by sight. She is now with our father God in heaven. No more pain, no more tears, no more suffering, She left us at exactly 8:20 this morning," Toni wrote on Facebook.
"I’m posting this with much sorrow because I will miss her. I love you Mom! Rest In Peace in the hands of our creator," she added.
Days before her death, Toni posted a video of her mother's best friend Delia, sending Lilia good vibes.
Toni also posted several video messages for her mother which were sent by actors and personalities including Vilma Santos, Ronaldo Valdez, Edgar Mortiz, Tirso Cruz, Ricky Davao, and Bibeth Orteza among others.
Lilia starred in several films since the 1950's. She was the wife of LVN Pictures actor Gil de Leon, with whom she has three children Pinky de Leon, Christopher de Leon and Melissa de Leon.
She has two daughters with her second husband Antonio Abad Toni and Corrie Abad.
