These Kapuso actresses learned martial arts to protect self and family

Angela Alarcon and Raechelle Ricketts have shared that they learned martial arts so they could protect themselves and their families in case it was necessary.

In Lhar Santiago’s report on “24 Oras” Tuesday, Angela, daughter of veteran actor Jestoni Alarcon, said she was really protective of her family.

“Na-realize ko na I needed to do self-defense when there is potential danger to harm me,” the budding star said. "Overprotective din ako when it comes to my family, so mabuti na may marunong magself-defense so ayun, nag-taekwondo ako dahil doon.”

Meanwhile, Raechelle, the daughter of Mariz and Ronnie Ricketts, shared that her dad trained her on kickboxing and arnis.
