Derek Ramsay surprises Andrea Torres with video greetings on her birthday

Even though they couldn't celebrate together during the enhanced community quarantine, Derek Ramsay still found a way to make Andrea Torres feel special on her birthday.

The actor surprised his girlfriend with a video on Instagram, which included greetings from his family and their friends.

"I really wish I could be there with you to greet you on your birthday, and give you a hug and a kiss," Derek said.

In Aubrey Carampel's report for "24 Oras," Andrea said she was touched by the gesture.

"Grabe 'yung iyak ko ugly crying as in buhos talaga," said the actress, who turned 30 on May 4. "Nakakasenti 'yung ganun."

Derek also sent her a jelly cake with flowers, while her fans sent some food.

"It's really the little things eh di ba? Sa panahon ngayon bawat maliit na bagay maa-appreciate mo talaga," Andrea said. 

She thanked everyone for their well-wishes in a post on Instagram.

"This is not how I imagined my birthday would be. Never had so many surprises happen to me in one day!" she said. "I am deeply moved." —MGP, GMA News
