'Bubble Gang' stars mourn late comedian Babajie

"Bubble Gang" stars mourn the loss of comedian Babajie, who died of tuberculosis and malnutrition Monday.

In Cata Tibayan's report for "24 Oras," Diego Llorico, one of Babajie's close friends in the show, opened up about his grief.

"Sana masaya na siya ngayon kasi hindi na siya mahihirapan," he said.

"Nalulungkot talaga ako kasi nasanay na ako na nakasama siya sa mga taping, sa mga feeding program," he added.

Diego shared that Babajie would also frequently visit him in his home and keep him company because Diego lived alone.

Meanwhile, Arny Ross said that she also spent a lot of time with Babajie especially in Diego's feeding programs.

"Nagpapasaya sa mga tao, kumakanta 'yan," Arny said. "Napakabuting tao, napakabuting puso ni Babajie. Gusto niya lagi magpasaya ng tao so rest in peace Babajie."

Several "Bubble Gang" actors and other Kapuso stars have offered to help Babajie's family.

Babajie, Alfredo Cornejo Jr. in real life, made a splash in social media when she posted photos with her Italian bae Ciro Tarallo.
