'TGIS' members reunite online to give heartfelt message to COVID-19 frontliners

Several "TGIS" cast members reunited online to give a heartfelt message to frontliners battling the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The Batch 3 members who joined the video call were Chubi del Rosario, Anne Curtis, Aiza Marquez, Vanna Garcia, JR Trinidad, and Yves Gonzalez.

"We would like to thank all the frontliners, maraming maraming salamat po sa taos-pusong pagtulong at of course sa lahat ng effort na binibigay ninyo," Aiza said.

Vanna said that because of the frontliners who continue doing their jobs, the rest of the people still get to "do what they need to do."

"You guys are very important, we still get to do what we need to do...to all our doctors, all our nurses who keep everyone safe, thank you very much to you guys," she said.

Anne meanwhile thanked her fellow countrymen who are following the quarantine rules, and reminded them to stay healthy.

However, she misspoke and said "Stay selfie" instead, starting a running joke among the group.

"Remember to stay home, stay selfie, stay healthy," she said.

Chubi also shared some words of encouragement for everyone watching.

"We will all get through this together, and we wish you all the best," he said.

"TGIS" (Thank God It's Sabado) was a television drama series that aired in 1995 on GMA Network.

During this enhanced community quarantine, more and more celebrities are reuniting with their former co-stars.

A few days ago, Janno Gibbs rounded up his former co-stars in 80's variety show "That's Entertainment" for a nostalgic performance they (wittily) dubbed "That's Quarantainment."

Some original members of Sexbomb also reunited for a special online performance to raise funds COVID-19 frontliners.
