How Pops Fernandez takes care of Mommy Dulce during quarantine

Pops Fernandez and her mom Dulce Lukban have been separated during the enhanced community quarantine.

However, that doesn't stop the Concert Queen from taking care of her mother.

In Lhar Santiago's report for "24 Oras," Pops shared how she was able to look after the former actress.

"We keep in touch, siguro mga three, four times in a day. I constantly check on them and vice-versa. They also check on us," she said.

Pops said she doesn't allow Mommy Dulce to go outside the house to protect her from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

"Pinapadalhan na lang ng food. Bawal na bawal po talaga silang lumabas and I think it's better," she said.

The elderly have a high-risk of developing severe illness should they get infected with COVID-19.

Other celebrities have been concerned for their parents and grandparents due to the health crisis.

Alden Richards, Pops' colleague in "Centerstage," revealed that he is his family's grocery runner and that he is taking precautions to make sure that he would not bring the virus home to his lolo and lola. —MGP, GMA News
