Heart Evangelista cries over death of foster puppy in latest vlog

Heart Evangelista couldn't help her tears as she broke the news that her new foster puppy, Linda, passed away.

In her latest vlog, the Kapuso actress shared that she was only able to spend half a day with Linda when the puppy died due to complications.

"I've never been so attached to a foster. I usually foster a lot but this was extra special and I actually thought of keeping her but she died," she said, with tears running down her face.

The actress admitted that she doesn't normally share moments like these in her vlogs since she wanted to maintain a positive atmosphere, but she wanted to answer her fans' questions on where Linda was.

Despite her loss, Heart was glad she was still able to spend time with Linda no matter how short it was.

"Fostering is hard, but when I look back when I was with her for half a day, at least I was able to make her feel very loved," the actress said.

"And despite the heartache, I do still very much support the idea of fostering. It's just very very hard because she really was such an angel," she added.

Heart is a known animal welfare advocate who, at times of crisis, offers her help in ensuring the safety of dogs.

Aside from building her own animal shelter in Sorsogon, she is one of the celebrities who went out of her way to rescue the animals affected by the Taal eruption last January.
