Princess Punzalan to act in Hollywood film after COVID-19 threat passes

Princess Punzalan is not only battling the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as a registered nurse in the United States, but she's also now on her way to star in a Hollywood film.

According to Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras," the veteran actress will play the role of an officer in the Hollywood film "The Interview" after the pandemic passes.

"I have a movie coming up and nasa pre-production stage pa siya," she said. "The movie is about the interview process pag nag-a-apply ng greencard o kaya ng citizenship dito sa America."

Princess said that while she was in an acting class, she was spotted by an agent who was looking for actors with the potential to act in Hollywood.

"She saw what I did and then Billy, my acting coach, sent her my resume and she was interested and then ayun in-offer-an niya ako kung gusto ko daw siya maging agent," Princess said.

The actress shared that she is also being handled by a Hollywood manager she found on an actors' group page.

"When he posted sa isang actors group na naghahanap siya ng bagong artista na i-ma-manage, out of the 96 posts na nagrespond sakanya, two kami na binigyan niya ng sagot," she said.

Princess said she'll have to juggle her job as a nurse and as an actress because acting gigs don't come every day.

Nonetheless, Princess said that her Hollywood dream is almost within her reach.

"Isa itong pangarap para sa 'kin and I'm working towards my goal. Sana magkaroon ng katuparan 'yun." —Kaela Malig/MGP, GMA News
