Kris Aquino writes a heartfelt message for Bimby on his 13th birthday amid quarantine
Kris Aquino celebrated her youngest son Bimby’s 13th birthday away from home in light of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) situation in the country.
In an Instagram post, the celebrity host and endorser posted a video clip of her son blowing out candles in the kitchen of a Puerto Galera resort, where they have been staying amid the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.
Kris also wrote a long, heartfelt caption about how her son was growing up, and how grateful her family was for the support they've been receiving over the years.
“My bunso is no longer my baby, he’s now officially a TEENAGER,” she started.
“HAPPY 13th birthday, Bimb... THANK YOU to God, Our Father- He makes it possible for the 3 of us to LOVE each other unconditionally, trying to do so with humor & laughter, regardless of the trials & tears i wish i could have shielded my 2 from... we understand, appreciate & support our small family unit... and we remain grateful for blessings big & small.”
The self-styled Queen of All Media said she “hasn’t been posting that much” recently, but had to share a video of Bimby on his birthday.
“And this was my chance to say i always try my best to be a good mom, BUT apart from my mom, nobody has ever loved & believed in me, in my imperfect totality the way my bunso does,” Kris said.
“My 2 sons are living proof - I continue to be blessed far more than a person deserves to be,” she added.
As they were not able to go home due to the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon, Kris said she has “improvised” baked spaghetti for the occasion.
She also thanked the resort and her companions for their hospitality in the past five weeks they have been in Puerto Galera. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
