Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos launch donation drive for frontliners in Parañaque, Pasay hospitals

Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos have launched a fundraising campaign to help frontliners battling the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

On Instagram, Friday, the couple asked their followers to support the donation drive they set up together with their friends.

Proceeds will be given to the Ospital ng Parañaque 1 & Pasay City General Hospital.

"We're trying to raise 300,000 pesos to provide them PPEs, and food and whatever else they need," Gabbi said in an Instagram video.

The couple hopes to reach their target within 14 days. They plan to spend P130,000 for hazmat suits and P20,000 for meals per hospital.

Khalil added, "Any amount will be deeply appreciated."

As of Thursday, the Philippines has 2,633 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 107 deaths and 51 recoveries. --Kaela Malig/MGP, GMA News
