Christopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong celebrate 40th anniversary
Just a few days after Christopher de Leon was discharged from the hospital, he and wife Sandy Andolong marked their 40th anniversary.
On Instagram, Sandy posted a video of a collection of their photos through the years together, and accompanied it with an insightful message for her husband.
"Love is the greatest gift when given. It is the highest honor when received,” Sandy began.
“A long-lasting marriage is built by two people who believe in — and live by — the solemn promise they made. If you're not happy with where you are and what you've got, you won't be happy with where you go or what you get," Sandy continued.
Christopher and Sandy got married in 2001, but they have been in a relationship since 1980.
After Christopher's battle against COVID-19, — he was among the first local celebrities to test positive for the deadly disease — it feels just about right for the couple to celebrate.
Christopher has been discharged from the hospital and is now under home quarantine.
The entertainment hasn't been spared from COVID-19. Actress Iza Calzado has also tested positive for COVID-19, her talent manager Noel Ferrer confirmed on Saturday.
Meanwhile, veteran actor Domingo "Menggie" Cobarrubias died last Thursday morning, March 26, due to pneumonia. He was awaiting for his COVID-19 test results. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
