Max Collins considering home birth amid COVID-19 threat
Max Collins is considering giving birth at home instead of the hospital due to the threat of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In Nelson Canlas' report for "24 Oras," the Kapuso actress said she does not feel comfortable with a hospital setting where there is a risk she can be infected with the virus.
Max, who is due to give birth to a baby boy in July, has started a course for home birthing. She is also looking for a mini pool for a possible water birth.
"I never thought it would come to this. But I think that would be safest way for me," she said. "Not a 100 percent sure na about the home birth 'cause I have to check the s'yempre positioning of the baby, kung kaya ko."
Max said she is still consulting with her OB-Gyne about giving birth at a hospital.
In the meantime, she keeps working out to make sure she is physically prepared to give birth.
"Kailangan eh. Oh my goodness, kasi if not s'yempre I don't know how I'll be able to give birth naturally if my body is not good shape," she said. "If there's no anesthesia it's gonna be difficult." --MGP, GMA News
