Christopher de Leon has been discharged from the hospital
Christopher de Leon has been discharged from the hospital after being confined for COVID-19.
On Instagram Stories, Christopher's wife Sandy Andolong posted a photo of her husband alighting a van, still wearing a face mask.
"He is finally home," she wrote in the caption, where she thanked the medical team that took care of him.
Sandy then followed it up with a sweet photo of the family on a video conference call, showing how Christopher is still in quarantine after his hospital stay.
Christopher was among the first public personalities to get infected with COVID-19. On March 17, he confirmed on Instagram that he had the disease, despite having no recent travel history or contact with anyone confirmed to have the virus.
He took the opportunity to ask people he may have come in contact with, to go into quarantine and to cooperate with authorities.
President Rodrigo Duterte placed Luzon in an enhanced community quarantine last week to help contain the spread of COVID-19 and declared a state of calamity.
As of Tuesday, March 24, there are 552 confirmed cases in the country with 35 deaths and 20 recoveries. — LA, GMA News
