Jinri Park postpones wedding due to COVID-19 threat
Jinri Park postponed her wedding due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) threat, announcing her decision on Instagram Monday.
In the caption, Jinri revealed her wedding was supposed to happen this coming weekend.
"Due to the circumstances we had to cancel our wedding this coming weekend," Jinri wrote in the caption.
Jinri said she and John will still get "the legal documents ready and sign the registry on the day of the wedding but the event and gathering will be postponed."
She said she feels "very upset" because she has "prepared and stressed over this day for months."
"An emotional rollercoaster. But at the end of day, I have to look at the bright side and say, hey! At least I had a practice on how to go about a wedding preparation," she added.
Jinri said "when the virus dies down, I’ll have that wedding and my dad will get to walk me down the aisle."
She also had a message to fellow brides who had to postpone their weddings.
"To all the fellow brides out there who are going through the same situation as me, stay strong! I know it’s been stressful months but we now have a story to tell our grandchildren. Stay healthy," she ended her note.
The pair had an intimate Korean wedding in December, but Jinri said it wasn't their official wedding yet.
Jinri announced she was getting married to her boyfriend in a vlog last July.
Like Jinri, Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez announced the postponement of their wedding last week, due to the COVID-19 threar. The pair however surprised everybody when they pushed through with their civil wedding ceremony on Saturday. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
