MMFF Summer Festival postponed due to COVID-19
The first summer edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) will be postponed due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Festival organizers announced on Thursday.
"In light of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic and health emergency, the Summer Metro Manila Film Festival is hereby postponed," the organizers said in a Facebook post.
The MMFF announced the decision after President Rodrigo Duterte announced a "community quarantine" will be in place in Metro Manila starting March 15, 2020.

The summer festival was set to run from April 11 to April 21.
No information on re-scheduling of the event was given.
The health department announced on Thursday that the confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country rose to 52.
Health authorities also announced the death of three cases, bringing the total tally of fatalities to five. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BAP, GMA News
