Matteo on the day he married Sarah G: ‘That evening was almost perfect until…’
Matteo Guidicelli confirmed two important things on Instagram Wednesday: Yes he married Sarah Geronimo on February 20 and no, he ‘never punched’ anyone.
Posting a photo of the two of them presumably at the reception — arms intertwined as they held champagne flutes — Matteo said it was “a day full of pure love, honesty, and genuine emotions.
“Yes, we got married. Mr. and Mrs. Guidicelli,” he started his caption.
After expressing their joy and excitement for the next chapter of their lives, Matteo said they “decided to keep everything as intimate as possible because of private matters.”
Then he thanked everyone and then acknowledged the rumors surrounding their big day. “That evening was almost perfect until some unexpected events took place, but don’t worry. I never ‘punched anyone.”
Matteo promised to "forever stand up and protect my wife just as how my father would protect my whole family."
The groom thanked his family for "loving Sarah like a daughter” and for welcoming her into the family."
Then he ended his note in a hopeful and happy tone: "In time, with God’s grace and Love, everything will heal and fall into place.
We are happy, we are blessed, and we are husband and wife!"
On Friday, news broke that Matteo allegedly punched Sarah's bodyguard for leaking the wedding details to his wife's mom, Mommy Divine.
According to the police report, the commotion occurred inside the Shangri-La Hotel at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig at 11 p.m. on Thursday.
Meanwhile, PEP.ph reported the two celebrities had a civil wedding ceremony on Thursday evening at Ministry of Crab, one of the hotel's restaurants.
Matteo announced their engagement in November 2019. Shortly after, Matteo took to social media to promise Sarah's parents that he will give their daughter "a happy life." — LA, GMA News
