'Take On Me' music video reaches one billion views on YouTube
The iconic '80's music video "Take On Me" by Norwegian pop trio a-ha has reached one billion views on YouTube on Monday, 10 years after it was first uploaded on the video sharing site.
The pop band, of course, shared the wonderful news on its Twitter account on Wednesday, with an added bonus: a-ha will be releasing limited-edition merchandise, part of the #TakeOnMe1BN Capsule Collection.

Fans of a-ha can get their hands on a limited edition art print personally signed by band members Morten, Magne and Paul, a VHS tape of the official music video, a t-shirt designed by the original music animators, and an exclusive A3 print set.

"Take On Me" is the second '80's music video to reach a billion views, following "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns N'Roses.
At the 1986 MTV Video Music awards, a-ha's video won six awards, including Best New Artist in a Video, Best Concept Video, Most Experimental Video, Best Direction, Best Special Effects, and Viewer's Choice.
It was also nominated for Best Group Video and Video of the Year.
