Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez spend Valentine's Day at book sale

Instead of the usual candlelit dinner, real-life Kapuso sweethearts Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez went on a different kind of date during the Day of Hearts.

Describing their Valentine's date to be "unconventional", the 33-year-old actress said that she brought her boyfriend to the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, where she knew he would "go crazy."

Our Valentine’s date this year was unconventional. I surprised Tom with a trip to where i know he would go crazy- the @bigbadwolfbooks sale. And boy was i right. He even muttered, “You shouldn’t have brought me here, Mama”. Now, where to put all these books, @akosimangtomas ? ????

In a series of photos on Carla's Instagram account, Tom was seen hoarding a cart of books. The 32-year-old actor was also seen sporting a silly face as he posed with his haul.

At the end of their book shopping, Tom jokingly muttered to his girlfriend that she shouldn't have brought him there.

"Now, where to put all these books, @akosimangtomas ? ????" Carla wrote in a caption.

Carla and Tom have been together for more than five years.

The celebrity couple appears in the GMA Telebabad's newest drama series "Love of My Life," along with other Kapuso stars such as Rhian Ramos, Mikael Daez and Coney Reyes. —Angelica Y. Yang/MGP, GMA News
