Mike Enriquez on the bad news in 2020 so far: 'That will pass'

With all the alarming news that happened in January like the Taal volcano eruption, the death of Kobe Bryant, and a new virus going around, a lot of Filipinos on social media have been quick to say that 2020 is off to a bad start.

GMA News Online asked veteran news anchor and radio host Mike Enriquez to share his thoughts on this outlook, and here's what he had to say:

"That will pass. There are no permanent fortunes or misfortunes. It's just one event after another."

The multi-awarded broadcaster, who just renewed his contract with GMA after 25 years, isn't called "Sumbungan ng Bayan" for nothing.

Enriquez constantly delivers hard-hitting news stories as a co-anchor on GMA’s flagship primetime news program "24 Oras" and hosts the investigative public affairs program "Imbestigador."

He's also the voice you hear on GMA News TV’s "Dobol B Sa News TV,"  Super Radyo DZBB’s "Saksi sa Dobol B" and "Super Balita sa Umaga Nationwide."

When asked what advice he would give to young, aspiring individuals in the broadcasting industry, Enriquez gave a straight answer:

"Have passion for the truth, and have passion for your work, and this is not an easy job. But if you have passion for it, it's the best thing that can happen to you." —MGP, GMA News
