Rocco Nacino and Jasmine Curtis-Smith reveal how they 'broke the ice' for 'Descendants of the Sun'

One of the things viewers are anticipating in the Pinoy adaptation of "Descendants of the Sun" is the onscreen romance of Rocco Nacino and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.

As we've all seen in the trailer, Rocco and Jasmine are playing Technical Sergeant Diego Ramos and Lieutenant Moira Defensor, who are expected to have a lot of kilig-filled scenes together.

But in an interview aired on Thursday's "Unang Balita," Jasmine and Rocco shared it was actually their first time working on a project together, so they had to "break the ice."

"For Rocco, kasi naiilang pa siya nung una. So he did a workshop with me on set before a scene, and nakatulong 'yun samin pareho," Jasmine said.

Rocco also shared how he and Jasmin would take the time to rehearse their scenes together just to make sure they get every detail right.

"Talagang pinag-aralan namin 'yung mga eksena, 'yung mga galaw, kung paano kami tumingin sa isa't isa," the actor said.

"Grabe 'yung arko ng story nila, di ba? We wanted to do the same, or actually, i-top pa namin 'yun," he added.

"Descendants of the Sun," which also stars Dingdong Dantes who plays Capt. Lucas Manalo a.k.a. "Big Boss" and Jennylyn Mercado who plays Dr. Maxine dela Cruz, was adapted from the Korean original series.

It premieres Monday February 10 on GMA Telebabad.
