Pinoy pop boy group SB19 becomes a mainstay of Billboard's Social 50 chart

SB19 or "Sound Break 19" is making a name for Pinoy pop as they continue to become a mainstay on Billboard's Social 50 chart.

According to Billboard, the rising P-pop boy band is earning international presence on social media as they climbed their way up the Social 50, placing 15th on the chart and overtaking "longtime Social 50 mainstays" Selena Gomez, Louis Tomlinson and K-Pop groups BLACKPINK and GOT7.

Billboard noted SB19's strong social media presence: garnering 1.2 million mentions, 193,000 reactions and 7,000 new followers on their Twitter account @SB19Official.

On Facebook meanwhile, SB19 has earned 10,000 new Facebook page likes and 3,000 Wikipedia views.

Last month, the P-pop band released the music video for their single "Alab (Fire) which shows their connection with K-Pop.

Billboard said "the major week of growth can likely be attributed to SB19's new music video."
