Meet the 'Kapuso Soul Balladeer,' Garrett Bolden
Rising star Garrett Bolden has been christened with a new moniker: the "Kapuso Soul Balladeer."
In Nelson Canlas' report for "Balitanghali," Bolden regards his new title as somewhat of a "challenge," but it has inspired him to work even harder.
The Kapuso singer, who was named the "New Male Recording Artist of the Year" at the 11th PMPC Star Awards for Music last month, wears his newly-earned title with pride.
Who is Garrett Bolden?
You may know him as the balladeer from Olongapo City who wowed the judges of "The Clash" with his soulful voice and powerful performances.
Despite his success, Garrett never forgot his humble past. He looked back on all the rejections that made him want to end his singing career, and thanked everyone who urged him not to give up.
Now you can catch Garrett and all your favorite Kapuso singers on GMA's new Sunday afternoon show "All Out Sundays."
You can also listen to the Kapuso Soul Balladeer's debut single "Lilipad Na" here.
