Marian Rivera reveals how she keeps Zia and Ziggy safe amid coronavirus threat


There has yet to be a confirmed case of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in the Philippines, but ever-ready moms like Marian Rivera are taking no chances.

In an interview on Monday at the Philippine Navy headquarters, the busy actress and mommy-of-two admitted she was shaken by the idea of the new virus from China spreading among children.

“Sa totoo lang, nakakatakot talaga,” Marian told the press interview press on Monday.

She emphasized that proper hygiene is always a must, especially when it comes to Zia and Ziggy.

“After school, (or) after naming lumabas, kailangan talaga wash hands (and) palit damit,” Marian said.

“Dapat yung environment makikita mo ay dapat mga kalaro niya, mga kasama niya sa school, ano ba, may sakit ba? Saka, after school, after naming lumabas, kailangan talaga wash hands, palit damit,” she added.

Marian also urges her fellow mommies to take extra steps to make sure their kids steer clear of viruses.

“Especially na ngayong may anak ako na dalawa. Lalo na si Sixto (Ziggy) ay nine months pa lang, so nakakatakot talaga. So pag-iingatan mo talaga, as much as possible.”
