Kuya Wil on having Gab Valenciano as the newest Wowowin director: 'He's very talented'

Willie Revillame confirmed on Monday that he will be launching Gab Valenciano as the newest director of the show.

Kuya Wil said he thinks Gab is very talented and that he is very impressed with what Gab has to offer to make the show better.

"Right now, ilo-launch ko si Gab as a director of Wowowin. He's a very talented, not just a director, not just a dancer, magaling na bata. The idea, kung anong makikita niyo sa studio namin siya ['yon]. Marami siyang [ideas,] Kuya Wil told GMA Entertainment reporters.

The Wowowin host said it started when Gab performed as a guest in Wowowin.

"Kasi nung nag-guest siya, parang kinilabutan daw siya sa show. 'Yong mga tao namin hindi daw siya nakakita ng ganong programa, sabi ko try mo mag-direk mag-training ka muna rito," Kuya Wil narrated.

He then asked Gab, "Why are you at the back, bakit hindi ka mag-direk, you call the shots bagay ka sa Wowowin."

In the recent Southeast Asian Games hosted by the Philippines, Gab composed and arranged the song "Pride" which was played during the closing ceremony.

Kuya Wil announced that Wowowin is set to launch Wowowin Primetime which will air every Saturday at 7:00 p.m. starting February 15. — LA, GMA News
