Aiai delas Alas explains what happened after she took on duties to care for ex-child actor Jiro Manio
Aiaia delas Alas on Sunday morning issued a tell-all on Jiro Manio, after the ex-child actor was arrested in Marikina on Saturday.
According to Aiai, she decided to put out a video "para malinaw kung anong nangyari kay Jiro after 2015, nung nakita siya sa NAIA."
The Kapuso comedianne helped Manio after he was found loitering the terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
In her IGTV video Sunday, Aiai shared that she put Jiro in a rehab facility in Quezon City, where he stayed for six to eight months.
When his doctors said it was okay for Jiro to join the outside world, Aiai encouraged the award-winning actor to join show business again.
"Madali siyang makakaipon, matutulungan niya pamilya nia," Aiai reasoned. She got him a condo unit near GMA and helped him ink a deal with the program Magpakailanman. But two hours after signing, sabi niya, 'mama ayoko na'."
She was successful in convincing Jiro to change his mind but after 30 minutes, he changed his mind again. "Ganun yung utak niya. Sabi ko 'Parang hindi pa magaling si Jiro.'"
After consulting with his doctors again, Aiai decided to put him back into a facility. "This time, sa mas malayong lugar, sa Bataan" where he stayed from 2016 to the first quarter of 2018.
According to Aiai, Jiro showed progress and was cooperative, too. Soon, she received a message from Jiro telling her about going home to his family. "Ang dating sa akin, puwede na pala."
But along with the progress came news that Jiro was using marijuana. "Pakiramdam ko, lahat ng binuhos kong effort, tulong, pangaral, suporta, parang natapon na lang."
When Jiro informed her again that he was leaving to go back to his family, "nawala ako ng pag-asa. Hindi ko na siya pinansin. Ano pa ang magagawa ko?"
They lost all contact "until ngayon. Heto na ang nangyari sa kanya ngayon. Siguro alam naman ng nasa itaas kung anong effort yung nagawa ko at naitulong ko sa kanya. Na sana, pinahalagahan niya."
Aiai said all she could do now was pray for Jiro. — LA, GMA News
