Official trailer for ‘Descendants of the Sun’ PHL adaptation released

GMA Network on Sunday night released the trailer for the much-anticipated Philippine adaptation of the popular Korean television drama series "Descendants of the Sun." 

The two-minute video featured scenes of what Filipino fans can expect from GMA's newest offering.

The series stars Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes, Jennylyn Mercado, Rocco Nacino, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.

In "Descendants" Dingdong plays Captain Lucas or Big Boss, while Jennylyn will portray Dr. Maxine dela Cruz.

Meanwhile, Rocco will be playing Sergeant Diego Ramos while Jasmine will be Lieutenant Moira Defensor.

"Descendants of the Sun" was among the new GMA shows slated for release in 2020.

The Korean original, which became a big hit after it first aired in the country in 2016, starred Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo.
