Wowowin's YouTube channel gets Gold Play Button

Kapuso variety gameshow "Wowowin" just received the prestigious "Gold Play Button" after reaching more than 1 million subscribers on their YouTube channel!

In a clip from the show posted Monday, the host Willie Revillame took a moment to share the news and thank their viewers for their continuing love and support.

"Maraming, maraming salamat po sa lahat po ng, of course, sumusuporta ng Wowowin," he said into the microphone.

"'Yung napapanood niyo sa telebisyon, ika nga ay [may] extension po 'yan sa Facebook at sa YouTube. So 'yung hindi  nakakapanood dito sa Wowowin nang live o studio, pwede po sa YouTube or Facebook. Maraming, maraming, maraming salamat po! Taos puso po 'yan.”

A dancer brought out the button and a host read out a letter from YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, which was flashed on the screen.

Willie also announced that Wowowin is regarded as the seventh best YouTube channel in the Philippines!

"Sa pagkakaalam ko, number seven na po ang Wowowin sa YouTube channel. Seventh best YouTube channel sa buong Pilipinas. Ibig sabihin po niyan, dahil po sa inyo 'yan," the host said.

"Marami pong salamat, at ibig sabihin, marami tayong napapasaya. Hindi lang nakakapanood araw-araw… anytime ika nga, 24 oras pwedeng panoorin through YouTube at Facebook ang Wowowin. Maraming salamat!" he added.
