Miko Palanca passes away at 41

Actor Miko Palanca has passed away at the age of 41.

His family confirmed his passing in a statement, but has yet to disclose the circumstances of his death.

"We are extremely saddened and heartbroken by the sudden passing of our beloved brother, Miko Palanca. The whole family is grateful for the incredible outpour of love and support that has been coming in today," the family said in a statement shared by Mico's sister Erika Hocson on Instagram.

"As of now, we respectfully request for privacy as we go through this very difficult time. Again, we appreciate all the love and support  — thank you so much," they added.

In a separate post, Erika shared a personal message to her kuya.

"I love you. Didn't say it enough, but I did. I do. So much. I'm so glad I got to tell you how much I looked up to you growing up. Thank you, kuya," she wrote.

Miko's brother Martin also posted a message for him on his Instagram.

"Already missing you kuya. Wish you didn't go so soon. Rest easy now. I love you," he said.

Miko had appeared in recent teleseryes such as "Bagani" last year and "Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit" earlier this year.
