Lovi Poe, Joem Bascon admit feeling awkward with their love scenes in ‘The Annulment’
Lovi Poe and Joem Bascon admitted that the many love scenes they did in "The Annulment" were very daring.
But despite the steamy, intimate scenes in the film, Lovi and Joem said they were very professional about them.
Joem added that the intimate scenes were necessary for the movie.
"It's awkward when we do the scenes na kasama 'yong awkward positions," the actor shared.
"But kailangan siya eh, for you to believe na in-love talaga 'yong dalawang character. It's very daring but needed because a lot of couples go through these things," he explained.
Meanwhile, Lovi agreed with Joem and said that she was more than willing to do those scenes, especially if it will give justice to her role.
"If I was asked by my director if I agreed to do a movie, I wanna give my best and I wanna give justice to the character and the story na isinulat ng magaling naming writer," the actress said.
"I don't want to let them down because of trying to be conservative," she added.
Lovi added that she gave her full trust to the film's director, McArthur Alejandre, and Joem.
In Regal Entertainment's newest offering, Lovi plays Gari, a woman of ambition who came from a well-off family. Meanwhile, Joem plays Sherwin, a college dropout and an auto mechanic who wants to have a simple family.
Fate allows Gari and Sherwin to meet and after a few years, decides to get married. However, during their marriage, problems occured and many shortcomings happened.
Gari gets frustrated over Sherwin's broken promises, which leads to her decision of an annulment.
Sherwin tries to patch things up with Gari, but she's already decided with the move.
The film also stars Myrtle Sarrosa, Laura Lehmann, Erika Padilla, JC Tiuseco, Dianne Medina, Manuel Chua, Nico Antonio, Matt Daclan, Nikka Valencia, Jon Leo, Naya Amore, Johnny Revilla and Ana Abad Santos.
"The Annulment" is set to open in cinemas nationwide on November 13. —LDF, GMA News
