Ramon Ang says he's never met Julia Barretto: 'She could be my grandchild'

Businessman Ramon Ang has addressed rumors linking him to actress Julia Barretto.

In a text message on Wednesday, the San Miguel Corporation president said that he doesn't recall ever meeting the actress in his life.

"She could be my grandchild, so frankly I did not know how to react to this malicious rumor," the 65-year old billionaire said of the 22-year-old actress.

"When my own grandchildren grow up, perhaps they can all be friends," he added.

The rumor linking him with Julia started to circulate on as the family feud involving her mother Marjorie and aunts Gretchen and Claudine Barretto played out in public following a confrontation at the wake of family patriarch Miguel.

The name of businessman Atong Ang was also dragged into the feud following allegations of his supposed involvement with Gretchen, Claudine, and their niece Nicole.

Atong has denied any romantic involvement with the Barretto women, saying that Nicole just used to work for him and Gretchen was only his business partner. —Kaela Malig/JST, GMA News
