TUNAY NA BUHAY

Iya Villania admits she was scared to become ‘Chika Minute’ host

GMA's 24 Oras is never complete without "Chika Minute" host Iya Villania's positive presence, from her "Weekend na, mga Kapuso" goofy dancing to her bright and smiling face on screen.

However, the host revealed that she wasn't always confident with her position.

In a Tunay na Buhay episode on Wednesday, Iya revealed that she was scared to do the part.

"At first, I was scared. Una, dahil sa Tagalog. Pangalawa, hindi ko kaya to be on the same show as Mel Tiangco, Sir Mike, Ms Vicky," Iya said.

She added, "I was scared na I would ruin the show."

Vicky Morales thought otherwise and said, "Si Iya masayang tao 'yun na katrabaho. She brings a lot of positive energy to the set and I think important talaga 'yun. Ang sasama na ng balita tapos medyo pa glum ka pa so maganda na na-uuplift niya mga tao dito."

Iya has been the "Chika Minute" host since June 2015. —Kaela Malig/LDF, GMA News
