Paolo Ballesteros breaks unofficial world record for no blinking
Paolo Ballesteros broke an unofficial world record after joining the Eat Bulaga segment "Bawal Kumurap! Nakakamatay ng Swerte."
The challenge of the segment is to have contestants not blink for how ever long they can.
Paolo did not blink for exactly 1 hour 17 minutes and 3 seconds. His competitor, fellow EB Dabarkads Allan K., blinked at the 34th minute and 55-second mark.
In an interview posted by Eat Bulaga on their Facebook account, Paolo said he didn't think he could do it because during practice, he only lasted not blinking for five seconds.
"Ang iniisip ko ngayon kaya ko pala. Kasi nung pinapractice ko, five seconds lang di ko kaya eh," he said. "Ayaw pumikit ni Allan eh. Di ako papatalo kay Allan K."
Pauleen Luna was the record-holder for "Bawal Kumurap," not blinking for 30 minutes and 44 seconds.
According to website recordsetter.com, Michael Thomas from Florida, United States held the record for longest time of not blinking at 1 hour and 5.61 seconds.
Meanwhile, other netizens are claiming there is another person on YouTube who did not blink his eyes longer than Paolo did.
But this is all unofficial. Guinness World Records has no existing official record of who a person who did not blink the longest. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
