Ken Chan shares how he's trained and prepared for his role in 'One of the Baes'

Portraying a seaman is no walk in the park.

According to Ken Chan, he's had to follow a diet, take freediving lessons and train like a real-life seaman  to be able to portray his role in the upcoming GMA-7 series "One of the Baes."

"Kailangan kong mag-diet kasi ang pagiging marino kailangan fit. Tapos kailangan kong i-prepare 'yong sarili ko kasi sinabi nila sa kin na kailangan ko raw sumisid sa dagat ng mga 20 to 30 feet," Ken told GMA News Online in an interview.

The Kapuso actor said he was nervous at first because it was his first time diving in the ocean without oxygen and any apparatus.

"First time sa buong talambuhay ko na mag-dive ng walang oxygen, ng walang apparatus so talagang kinabahan ako doon pero at the end of the day worth it naman," he said.
