Kris Bernal gets emotional after social media accounts and email hacked by an unknown group in Turkey
Kris Bernal got emotional on her latest vlog after trying to retrieve her social media accounts and email which have been hacked by an unknown group in Turkey on Sunday.
The Kapuso star said her account has been hacked since 3am on September 22, which she failed to retrieve using her laptop and mobile phone.
Kris said the hacker messaged and called her through WhatsApp, demanding her to pay more than $700 to get back her accounts.
At 5am on Sunday, Kris was still awake frustratingly trying to get back her account but she couldn't.
"I mean I only got like 1.4M followers. It's not as much as others but it took like how many years to get those," she said in the video.
Kris said she couldn't help but be emotional because she's been trying to be active on social media for months to have more exposure online.
"I started vlogging and everything dahil gusto ko magkaron ng social media awareness. Gusto ko maging malakas sa socila media because alam ko pag TV talagang may viewers na talaga ako sa TV. Pero sa social media gusto ko ma-capture 'yong audience na 'yon," she said.
Kris was saddened by the fact that a lot of people would really "do evil things just for money."
"Those things I don't understand talaga. Anyway tirny ko na sa phone ko sa laptop ko hindi ko talaga ma-retrieve."
The hacker also tried to hack her YouTube account but she was able to stop them.
Kris said she is hoping to resolve and retrieve her accounts as soon as possible. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
