Heart Evangelista, Solenn Heussaff receive awards at the first-ever 'Cosmo Women of Influence' event
Kapuso stars Heart Evangelista and Solenn Heussaff received awards at the very first Cosmo Women of Influence on Tuesday evening at Manila House in Bonifacio Global City.
Heart was recognized by Cosmo as "The Protector," acknowledging her advocacy for her #AdoptDontShop campaign.
"She uses her social media presence to promote awareness of the many strays and rescues around the country looking for a forever home. One of Heart's many projects is a soon-to-be animal welfare facility in Sorsogon!" Cosmo wrote in the caption of their IG post.
At the awarding event, Heart expressed her gratitude for Cosmo for creating a platform that bring women together.
"I just want to say thank you so much for Cosmo for creating this beautiful platform, this beautiful stage where we can really share what we're passionate about and create awareness on something we love," she said.
She also received the "Hyper Real Girl Award" for being a woman who show "importance of authenticity and staying true to yourself no matter what!"
Meanwhile, Solenn has been recognized as "The Visionary" for bringing out "the beauty and struggles of Filipinos" on her artworks during her first major exhibit.
"Through her travels around the country, she draws inspiration from local culture to show that there are many reasons we should be proud to be Pinoy," Cosmo wrote in the caption of their post.
Upon receiving her award, Solenn thanked Cosmo and said it was the first award she received for her art.
"I want to thank Cosmopolitan for recognizing the stories I tell through my art this is the first award I get for my art actually so I'm very thankful," she said.
