Eddie Garcia passes away at 90
Eddie Garcia has passed away.
According to a medical bulletin issued by the Makati Medical Center on Thursday, the veteran actor passed away at 4:55 p.m. on June 20.
"We join the entire Filipino community in praying for the soul of Mr. Eddie Garcia and his dearly beloved family and friends. We extend our deepest condolences to the Garcia family," the statement read.

The award-winning veteran actor had been in critical condition, confined in the hospital since June 8, following an incident while shooting for a TV show.
He had suffered a cervical fracture.
Garcia has been in the showbiz industry for almost 70 years, starting his acting career in 1950 with the movie "Siete Infantes de Lara." Soon, he became a director as well.
The actor and director is best known for portraying villain roles and for starring in action and comedy films.
Garcia won several awards all throughout his career. In the FAMAS (Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards) Hall of Fame, he is the only artist to be prompted as Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Director.
Just this week, Garcia received the best actor trophy for the film ML at the Gawad Urian.
Before he started his showbiz career, he served as a military policeman in Okinawa, Japan with the Philippine Scouts after World War II. — LA, GMA News
