My brilliant father Gryk Ortaleza has been called on to greater heights. The Lord needs you back now. He gave you your one of a kind mind and soul. Who are we to feel sad about your return to His Kingdom? You can now collaborate with Our Lord. I feel so excited about how you can now orchestrate your ideas with the universe as your background with the ultimate privilege of collaborating with the best Artist. Thank you for your outstanding contributions to Advertising, Music & Cinema. Most of all thank you for loving Mama and our family. For doing everything in your power to give us a fantastic adventure & instilling strength, wisdom & integrity. See you one day in a place of endless dreams. I love you. ? According to Chynna's post, a thanksgiving mass will be held for her father on Tuesday.

Chynna shared a close relationship with his father. In her an interview with GMA News Online Chynna said it was his father; a creative director who encouraged her creative side.

On his Instagram account meanwhile, Chynna's husband Kean spoke proudly of his father-in-law.

"Habang buhay kong kong ipagmamayabang sa mundo na father-in-law ko si Gryk Ortaleza. Siya ang sumulat ng mga kantang 'Umagang Kay Ganda,' 'Mamang Sorbetero,' 'Hallmark memories,' atbp," read a portion of his caption.

Maraming syang naiambag sa mundo ng Advertising, Pelikula at Musika. Napakalaki ng naimbag nya sa kung sino at anong klaseng tao ako ngayon.
