Catriona Gray reacts to netizen’s comment on her Holy Week beach photo

Just this week, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray posted a beach photo on Instagram expressing her regret in not being able to spend her trip in one of the Philippines' beaches.

She said, "Where I'd rather be to escape the Philippine summer heat. I unfortunately wasn't able to get vitamin sea on my short trip back home to the Philippines but the beach is where my mind will be!"

However, netizen @maecy saw her post and commented, "Holy week is not for vacationing."

Catriona, upon seeing the comment, didn't fire back but instead calmly and politely responded.

She said, "Yes, I agree. Holy Week is not about vacationing."

"Holy Week is a very meaningful time for Christians (like me), Catholics and other faiths but as I speak to an audience of an array faiths and beliefs, within and outside of the Philippines, I want to be inclusive with the conversations I pose on social media," the beauty queen said. — Kaela Malig/MDM, GMA News
