Nico Bolzico, Erwan Heussaff among new members of PHL Coast Guard Auxiliary
Brothers-in-law Nico Bolzico and Erwan Heussaff joined the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) as volunteers through their friend Jacques Branellec.
On Instagram Nico shared a photo of himself clad in the PCGA uniform standing alongside other newly inducted officers including actor Matteo Guidicelli.
"Honored to be part of the Philippines Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) 408 Squadron after a recommendation from our Captain @jacquesjewelmer. The PCGA is a voluntary non-government and non-political organization whose members adhere to the Philippines Coast Guard," Nico wrote in the caption.
Nico also shared their responsibilities as officers of the PCGA:
- Maritime Safety
- Maritime Search and Rescue
- Marine Environment Protection
- Youth Environmental Eduction
He said joining PCGA is his "way of giving back to this beautiful country that gave me and keeps giving me so much!"
"You can all do your part in protecting the Philippines greatest resource which is our Youth and our environment! The challenge is not to be part of the PCGA, the challenge is what you do after!" He added.
Despite the fact that he is now one of the people who are responsible for the ocean and the environment's safety, in one of his reminders, he joked that he still can't tell people that he is "equivalent to Aquaman in the Philippines." — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
