Direk Cathy on Alden-Kathryn movie: ‘Hindi yung love team yung binebenta but yung story at yung galing nila bilang artista’

So Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo will star in a movie for the very first time. It will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, under Star Cinema.

No other information was revealed, but it was definitely the big entertainment news of Tuesday, maybe of the week even.

Photos from the movie’s story conference held in Trellis in Quezon City on March 12 were enough to get everybody excited.

GMA entertainment correspondent Aubrey Carampel was among the select members of the media present at the story conference yesterday, and on her Instagram Stories, Aubrey said Direk Cathy is appealing to the fandoms of both Alden and Kathryn.

“I both respect their fandoms,” Direk Cathy begins, saying she knows how much their fans love the artists. “Sana mahalin nila yung dalawa [with the ] same [na] pagmamahal kasi hindi naman yung love team nila yung binebenta dito but yung kwento at yung galing nila bilang artista.”

“This is the first time that I’ll be working with her so it’s a great honor and experience kasi I’m really on the stage of exploring the craft and my  capability as an actor,” Alden told the press Tuesday.
