Mika dela Cruz says ‘old school’ courtship is still the best

Mika dela Cruz says "old school" courtship is the best. “Malaking bagay ang time,” the Kara Mia star said in Tuesday’s Conversations with GMA News.

“Na-a-appreciate ko yung oras and effort, [and] gusto ko sa bahay. [Gusto ko] may effort din siya sa family ko, sa mommy ko,” Mika added.

During the live interview, Mika entertained a lot of questions about love and relationships, at one point getting asked what to do when one has been "friend zoned."

“Kailangan mo respetuhin yung tao, yung decision niya. Hindi natin kailangan pag pilitan ang mga sarili natin sa mga taong  ayaw sa atin. Balang araw, darating ang araw na [ma-re-realize natin], ‘ kaya naman pala’.”

Mika is currently in a relationship with actor Nash Aguas, whom she says is her best friend. So when she was asked about falling in love with one’s best friend, Mika turned wise.

“Mahirap ma-in love sa best friend, but if it happens, maging honest kayo. Mag decide kayong dalawa kung ano ang makabubuti sa friendship. Mutually, mag-decide kayo. But you have to be honest.”

Mika is among the headliners of upcoming GMA TV show "Kara Mia." It will premiere on Monday, February 18. — LA, GMA News
