'Rainbow's Sunset' wins big at 2018 MMFF Gabi ng Parangal
'Rainbow Sunset' bagged a host of awards during the 2018 MMFF Gabi ng Parangal on Thursday at the Solaire Resort & Casino in Parañaque City, including the Best Picture, Best Actress (Gloria Romero), Best Director (Joel Lamangan), Best Supporting Actress (Aiko Melendez) and Best Supporting Actor (Tony Mabesa).
The LGBT-themed movie also won three special awards, including both Special Jury Prizes (Max Collins and Eddie Garcia) and the Gat Puno Villegas Cultural Award.
Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo, who was named the Best Actor for his performance in "One Great Love," could not make it to the ceremony due to fever. His manager, Popoy Caratitivo, accepted the award in behalf of the actor.
The 2nd Best Picture "Aurora" also won Best Cinematography, Best Sound Design, and Best Visual Effects.
